During 2012, Arthouse Guardia will be presenting an outline of future classes and workshops which will take place in the gallery-events-space in Via Filippo Maria Guidi 15.
In the first year of the project's development, the courses will begin with English classes (see below), and drawing & painting workshops, with more specialised and intensive workshops coming later once an appropriate customer base has been built up. The future should also bring residential workshops with visiting tutors in subjects, for example, book-making and reconstructing clothing.
It is hoped that the dynamic programme of the arthouse will run in parallel with other events and developments in the historical centre of Guardia, methodically bringing life back into the area, and having a wide positive impact of cultural exchange and stimulation.
INFORMAL ENGLISH
English is widely used as the most simple and direct means of communicating; a bridge between cultures, and afabulous gateway into social enrichment...
We will be meeting weekly to chat, read books, watch films, play games and set challenges! Suitable for most ages, but recommended for teens and upwards.
The first couple of sessions will be used to assess the needs of participants, and the course will run for 10 weeks to begin with: Wednesday evenings from 6 - 8pm. Maximum 12 spaces available, at a cost of only 5 Euros per person, per class.
Each class will include a half hour before and after we meet, for folk to peruse English books, and get familiar with each other, and the tutor!
It is hoped that the classes will be fun and dynamic, stimulating your enthusiasm for the English language. The intention is to set you on an active learning pathway, so that you can adapt your language to your own ambitions, perhaps for travelling or working in an English speaking country, or just for chatting on-line.
