My artwork has developed mainly through the figurative: narrative, archetype and family dynamics, with themes of healing, transformation and 'self evolution'.

Over the years, the paintings have developed in terms of composition, colour and line. They are currently reaching into the realms of 'manifestation', alongside the clarification of my philosophical stance, which is developing via my writing.

The paintings on display in this gallery are mostly painted in the past five years, and illustrate a time in which I began using colour more intensely and confidently.

I see my work as a dynamic force, akin to a spiritual discipline. Their meanings move and change according to the viewers' perspective, and the atmosphere in which they are shown. I really encourage an open interpretation, and I have been evolving more appropriate contect to show them, through my Secret Shop monthly art parties.

In my mind, the works tell a story on a personal but also on an archetypal level: they can be seen as representing one person- the male and female parts of a whole person- the yin and yang of the psyche, emotions, spirit. I use family symbology in this way, too; to express patterns which echo through our personal and collective experiences.

The individual's experience of the family constellation can be seen repeating itself in their life/ work/ health dynamics later in life. Sometimes male-female or familial inter-relationships can be rather intense, and we can get stuck in repetative behaviours, which prevent us both from developing spiritually, and from being happy.

The paintings have gained in energy and momentum over the years, and I hope to further deepen the positive influence of the imagery, through my book.

Alongside my own evolution, I have held a very active career involved in social housing and community transformation, as well as being an active member of several very interesting communities in the UK and abroad.
